Intensive Therapy

Have you been stuck in the same cycle despite weekly therapy? Maybe you have made progress, but anxiety continues to interfere with your daily life, or you are looking for a more focused approach to jump-start your recovery. Some people also need more in-the-moment support to fully engage in exposure work and break through avoidance patterns. Intensive therapy offers a concentrated, evidence-based approach designed to help you build momentum, overcome the patterns keeping you stuck, and begin freeing yourself from fear.

The Intensive Therapy Program is designed for children, adolescents, and adults seeking accelerated treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and other anxiety disorders. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)—the gold-standard treatment for OCD—we will create a personalized treatment plan based on your unique symptoms, strengths, and goals.

How the Program Works

The program includes approximately 20–30 hours of individualized treatment delivered over 2–3 weeks. Sessions are scheduled collaboratively to accommodate work, school, travel, and other commitments while maintaining the consistency needed to build momentum and maximize progress.

Unlike traditional weekly therapy, intensive treatment provides repeated opportunities to practice evidence-based skills, receive immediate feedback, and work through challenges as they arise. This concentrated approach accelerates learning, strengthens new patterns of behavior, and helps you build confidence through repeated success. Throughout treatment, you will learn to face fears, reduce avoidance and compulsions, increase psychological flexibility, and develop lasting skills to manage anxiety with greater confidence.

When clinically appropriate, parent or family sessions are incorporated to provide education, strengthen support at home, and reinforce treatment strategies outside of therapy. Parent coaching may also include evidence-based strategies informed by Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

Who It May Help

This program may be a good fit if you:

  • Have OCD or an anxiety disorder that is significantly interfering with your daily life.

  • Want to make faster progress than traditional weekly therapy can provide.

  • Would benefit from additional in-the-moment coaching and support while completing exposure work.

  • Are seeking specialized treatment using CBT, ACT, and ERP.

  • Have work, school, or travel commitments that make a short-term intensive more practical.

  • Are traveling to receive specialized OCD and anxiety treatment.

  • Are stepping down from a higher level of care and would benefit from structured outpatient support.

What Treatment Includes

Each intensive begins with a comprehensive assessment to determine whether this approach is the right fit for you. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan and adjust it throughout the program based on your progress. Treatment concludes with relapse prevention planning and individualized recommendations to help you maintain your gains long after treatment ends. Our goal is not simply symptom reduction—it is helping you free yourself from fear so you can fully engage in the life that matters most to you.

Investment

Intensive programs are individually tailored. After the initial assessment, you will receive a personalized recommendation and cost estimate based on the length and structure of treatment.
